The Autoprint Fine Coat 80 is an offline automatic sheet-fed coating system engineered to enhance the visual appeal and tactile quality of printed materials. By enabling both full flood overprint varnishing and selective spot UV applications, it allows commercial print houses and packaging converters to add maximum retail value to book covers, brochures, and luxury cartons.
High-Reliability Stream Feeding
The system is equipped with a robust stream feeder mechanism that provides stable and continuous sheet separation across a wide stock weight range from 60 to 450 gsm. Coupled with a motorized pile for smooth upward and downward stack movement, it ensures rapid sheet transport with minimal operator intervention.
Precision 3-Roller Varnishing System
The coating application utilizes an engineered 3-roller system that enables tight control over coating thickness, allowing operators to dynamically adjust layers between 3 to 5 gsm. Removable impression cylinder grippers ease the cleaning of accidental varnish accumulation, ensuring smooth mechanical operation.
Advanced UV & IR Curing Network
The Fine Coat 80 connects directly to a high-efficiency 12-foot vacuum hold-down conveyor linked to an integrated drying suite. It includes an IR Dryer with two lamps and a hot air blow system for aqueous coatings, alongside a 300 watts-per-inch UV Drying module featuring a power-saving device and an automatic hood safety lift to eliminate fire hazards during paper jams.
Rigid Chain Delivery Architecture
The delivery section uses a heavy-duty chain delivery mechanism fitted with adjustable guides and air blow ejection nozzles to transport coated sheets smoothly onto the drying conveyor without scratching or marking the wet varnish surface. An automatic delivery stacker ensures neat final pile structure for immediate post-press processing.
Micro-Registration & Alignment Control
To guarantee impeccable accuracy during spot UV varnish applications, the machine is equipped with an adjustable pull-lay registration line with a 1.5 mm fine-tuning window. Furthermore, operators can perform circumferential image micro-adjustments up to 30 mm offline to maintain a tight registration tolerance of 0.5 mm.
