The Autoprint Fine Coat 80 AX is an advanced offline automatic selective spot and full flood UV/Aqueous coating system. Engineered to maximize production speeds up to 6000 iph, it enables packaging converters and commercial printers to add premium visual impact, deep contrast, and high-gloss protective layers to book covers, luxury product cartons, and corporate mailers.
Pneumatic Automated Operations
The machine incorporates a high-efficiency pneumatic cylinder configuration operated directly via the main control panel. This integration simplifies settings, automates roller engagements, and ensures that coating runs are smooth, highly repeatable, and active at the press of a single button.
Precise Metering Roller Adjustment
The varnishing unit utilizes a refined multi-roller technology featuring an independent continuous drive motor on the varnish fountain roller to prevent chemical drying. Built-in skew and pressure micro-adjustments on the metering roller give operators total mastery over varnish delivery, maintaining a precise coating layer between 3 to 8 gsm.
Micro-Registration & Circumferential Tuning
To guarantee flawless accuracy during intricate spot polymer plate assignments, the Fine Coat 80 AX provides an adjustable side lay guide with a 1.5 mm fine-tuning window. Additionally, operators can execute circumferential image adjustments up to 30 mm offline to maintain a strict registration tolerance of ±0.5 mm.
Industrial UV & IR Curing Conveyor
The coater connects directly to a heavy-duty 12-foot vacuum hold-down conveyor built with heat-resistant, Teflon-coated fibers. It incorporates a dual-lamp IR dryer paired with hot air blowers for aqueous solutions, alongside an industrial 300 watts-per-inch UV curing unit. The UV module features a power-saving mode and an automatic safety hood lift to instantly eliminate fire hazards during paper jams.
Scuff-Free Chain Delivery Unit
The output line uses a rigid chain delivery assembly combined with adjustable delivery guides and air blow ejection nozzles. This mechanical configuration supports stocks from 60 to 450 gsm, gently sliding coated sheets onto the drying conveyor without scuffing, scratching, or marking the delicate, wet varnish surface.
